I chose this image to compare with the larger view of the carpet. This was shot with a zoom at 200mm, auto focus (f5.6, 1/60). I liked the detail of the fiber in the image. I selected this to compare with the larger image shot at 55mm because it serves to reveal how the pattern comes from many small fibers of different shades. This image helps me to consider the complexity of the design and energy that went into the creation of this object. At this close view, I find myself smelling the fiber.

Compare and Contrast

This object was selected because I was interested in capturing color and the detail of the pattern. I used a 55mm lens at 55 mm with auto focus (f4.0, 1/60). I experimented with a variety of settings and angles, including the preset camera settings of close up and without flash. This one had the best exposure for recording the color and detail.
